Finding the Time Doctor Local Data in Ubuntu

Follow this guide to locate, export, and delete Time Doctor's local data files on Ubuntu when instructed by support. Use file-sharing services for ZIP files larger than 15 MB.

 

How to Locate, Export, and Send Local Data Files on Ubuntu

This guide applies to Ubuntu users only.

 

When Instructed to Send Local Data Files

  1. Open the terminal in Ubuntu.

  2. Run the following command to compress Time Doctor's local data:

    zip -r ~/Desktop/time-doctor-local-data.zip ~/.config/TimeDoctor

    This command creates a ZIP file named time-doctor-local-data.zip on the Desktop. Change the destination if needed.

  3. Check the ZIP file size:

    • If the file is 15 MB or less, send it via email to support.

    • If the file is larger than 15 MB, use a file-sharing service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer.

 

When Instructed to Delete Local Data Files

  1. Open the Home folder.

  2. Navigate to the following directory: /home/[your-username]/.config

    • Replace [your-username] with your actual Ubuntu username.

  3. If the .config folder is hidden:

    • Click View > Show Hidden Files, or

    • Press Ctrl+H.

  4. Locate the TimeDoctor folder.

  5. Right-click the folder and select Delete.
