Screenshot Storage and Access for Security and Privacy

 

TL;DR: 

Time Doctor screenshots are securely stored and accessible only to select system administrators and developers. They are retained for six months and then moved to cold storage, with optional restoration available for a fee.

 

Screenshot Access

Only system administrators and select high-level developers have access to Time Doctor screenshots. These employees are bound by strict privacy agreements and only access screenshots for testing or troubleshooting. Customer support agents and most low-level developers do not have access.

 

Storage Security

Screenshots are stored securely alongside all other Time Doctor data:

  • All communication with servers is secured using SSL encryption.

  • Files are encrypted on the server to add another layer of protection.

  • Servers are housed in secure enterprise data-center facilities with 24/7 monitoring and hosting support.

 

Retention Period and Cold Storage

Screenshots are retained on our servers for six months. After this period, they are moved to cold storage.

To keep screenshots for longer than six months, download them before they are transferred to cold storage.

Screenshots can be restored from cold storage for an additional charge.
