How to Integrate with Teamwork.com
TL;DR:
Enable the Teamwork integration in Time Doctor by using your Teamwork API token. Admins must first enable the integration company-wide. Then, individual users can activate it via the Your Integrations page. Time tracked on the desktop app may take up to one hour to sync with Teamwork.
Time Doctor allows integration with Teamwork.com, enabling tracked time to be sent directly to Teamwork. Integration requires an API token and must be enabled at both the company and individual levels.
Note: It can take up to one hour for time tracked on the Time Doctor desktop app to upload to Teamwork.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Create a Teamwork Account
- Sign up at Teamwork.com if an account does not yet exist.
Step 2: Retrieve the API Token from Teamwork

Log in to Teamwork.

Click the profile icon in the upper-right corner.

Select Edit my details.

Go to the API & Mobile tab.

Click Show your token.

Copy and save the token.
Step 3: Enable Integration at the Company Level (Admins Only)
Skip to Step 4 if the integration is already enabled by your company.

Log in to Time Doctor.

Go to the left menu bar, click the company logo, and select Company Integrations.

Locate the Teamwork logo and enable the integration.

On the next page, enter the API token obtained in Step 2.

A confirmation message will appear indicating that the company-level integration is now active.

Note: The user who enables the company integration will automatically have their personal integration enabled. This can be turned off in Your Integrations.
Step 4: Activate the Integration on the User Level

Navigate to the Your Integrations page.

Find Teamwork at the top of the list.

Enter the same API token from Step 2.

Click the ON/OFF toggle to activate.

A green confirmation message will confirm the activation.
To verify the integration is active, check the Teamwork section within the Time Doctor desktop app.
