How to Create Zaps with Zapier and Time Doctor

Create Zaps to automatically generate Time Doctor tasks from starred Gmail emails using Zapier. Connect both apps, configure triggers and actions, and ensure your Zap is enabled.

 

Step 1: Log in to Zapier

  1. Go to the Zapier website and log in.

  2. If an account doesn't exist, create one here.

Step 2: Create a New Zap

  1. After logging in, click on Make a Zap.

Step 3: Set Up Gmail as the Trigger App

  1. Select Gmail from the list of available apps.

  2. Choose the trigger New Starred Email.

  3. Connect the Gmail account to Zapier.

  4. Pick a sample starred email to use for testing.

Step 4: Set Up Time Doctor as the Action App

  1. Select Time Doctor from the list of apps.

  2. Choose the action Create New Task in Folder.

  3. Connect to the Time Doctor account.

  4. Select a folder to store the tasks.

  5. If no folders appear, create one using the Time Doctor desktop application.

  6. Define the task format.

  7. Example: Use the email subject or sender as the task name.

  8. Finalize the setup and name the Zap.

Step 5: Enable the Zap

  1. Ensure the Zap is enabled.

  2. Google may delay email trigger delivery by 10–15 minutes.

  3. Wait a few minutes if tasks don't appear immediately.
