How do I manually edit time on the Time Doctor edit time page?

 

TL;DR:

Edit or add time entries in Time Doctor via the Edit Time page. Choose between Timeline or List View to adjust project or task names, or to input manual time blocks.

Note: Regular users and managers can edit only their own time. Administrators and owners can also edit time entries of other users they manage.

 

Access the Edit Time Page

Go to the Edit time page from the Time Doctor web dashboard.

 

Edit a Task or Project Name

If time was tracked for the wrong task or project, change it in either List View or Timeline View.

List View

  1. Click the pencil icon beside the time entry.

  2. Update the task or project fields.

  3. Save the changes.

To add manual time:
  1. Click the + icon next to the appropriate time block.
  2. Fill in the task, project, start time, and end time.
  3. Provide a reason if required.
  4. Save the entry.


Timeline View

  1. Click the time block to be edited.

  2. Modify the task or project name.

  3. Save the changes.

To add time manually:
  1. Click a blank section on the timeline.

  2. Enter the task and project names.

  3. Leave the start and end times unchanged (they auto-fill based on the selected block).

  4. Enter a reason.

  5. Click Save.

Tip: Alternatively, drag to create a time block for the desired duration.
