Canceling Your Time Doctor Account

 

TL;DR:

To cancel a Time Doctor account, send a request to support@timedoctor.com. Choose between suspension (data retained) or permanent deletion (data lost).

 

Options for Account Cancellation

There are two methods available to cancel a Time Doctor account:

  1. Suspend the Account (Recommended)
    Remove the account's payment method(s) and allow it to enter suspended status. This method is preferred because:

    • No future invoices will be issued.

    • Existing time tracking data and settings are preserved.

    • There are no financial obligations for past services, as billing occurs in advance.

  2. Permanently Delete the Account
    Delete the account entirely, which will:

    • Erase all account information and tracked data permanently.

    • Be irreversible once completed.

 

Important Security Notice

If the cancellation request is made by a manager or assistant on behalf of an administrator, the request must come from the original email address used to create the account. This ensures:

  • Authorized approval for account cancellation.

  • Protection against accidental or unauthorized requests.
