Can one task be associated with multiple projects in Time Doctor?

 

TL;DR: 

The same task name can be assigned to multiple projects, but each instance is treated independently. Time tracked for the same-named task in one project does not carry over to others.

 

It is possible to use the same task name across multiple projects in Time Doctor. However, each instance is treated separately, and tracked time is not aggregated across projects.

 

For example, consider two projects:

  1. Daily

  2. Important

 

To use the task emails in both projects:

  1. Go to the Projects and Permanent Tasks page.

  2. Create the emails task under both the Daily and Important projects.

 

Each task will display with the project name in brackets, such as:

  1. emails [Daily]

  2. emails [Important]

 

This distinction ensures accurate time tracking per project.
